One of the ways Sweet Pepper’s Deli in Starkville stands out from the crowd is that they don’t cry over spilled milk. They don’t mind moving tables around to accommodate large crowds. They help soothe a crying baby. And they don’t mind if things get a little loud as long as everyone is having fun.
“We want to do everything we can to take care of the family,” said General Manager Alan Lamb. “We have designed the restaurant so families will be comfortable. We have a kid-friendly environment, with lots of floor space and easy-to-clean furniture.” This is definitely a place where children can enjoy the food as much as the adults. On the children’s menu, there are classic childhood favorites, like the Hot Dawg, Kids Nachos, PB&Js, and small turkey and ham sandwiches. They also serve a Junior Cheezy Tater. Mom and Dad will love the Reuben Panini (a panini is a Italian style sandwich that is grilled then pressed. It is usually made with veggies, cheese and grilled or cured meat) or the Waldorf salad. They are the hottest items on the menu these days. And everyone loves the Chocolate Eruption. It is a fantasy dessert designed as a pyramid of rich chocolate cream, studded with nuts, chocolate chips, and turtle cheesecake. It has chocolate curls and golden caramel erupting from the center. Yummy delicious! They also feature a variety of baked potatoes, soups, wraps, fresh baked cookies and the LiteLine, for those looking for healthier options.
