Fairpark Grill Now Open in Tupelo
Tupelo, MS -- October 11, 2007
On Wednesday October 3rd, Fairpark Grill opened its doors to an excited Tupelo crowd. Located in the Fairpark District in Downtown Tupelo, the 5,000 square foot restaurant features many familiar items from the Jackson Square Grill in Columbus and the Cotton District Grill in Starkville as well as new items created by Corporate Chef, Gregg Frazer.
The menu, described by Frazer as “upscale brew house fair,” includes appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, calzones and chef specialties. After Fairpark’s recent opening, some early favorites are lobster ravioli, macadamia crusted Mahi-Mahi, Ahi crunchy salad and Baja fish tacos. Entrée prices range from $6.99 to $18.99. The restaurant also offers a children’s menu, take out dining and a full service bar and wine list. The kitchen at Fairpark will be open Monday – Saturday from 11 am to 10 pm with the bar staying open until 11:30 each night. On Sundays, Fairpark Grill will be open from 11am to 9 pm.
The interior of the restaurant features black leather booths, multi-colored lighting, blue tiled support columns, and an exhibition kitchen where diners can see their food being prepared by the chefs and kitchen staff. The restaurant also includes a space for booking private parties that can be closed off with beautiful floor to ceiling, red velvet curtains. Upon entering Fairpark’s lobby you will be greeted by a large modern art painting created by Tupelo native, who now lives in New York where he owns his own gallery. All of these elements combined provide a hip, eclectic atmosphere that is both comfortable and classic.
Fairpark Grill makes the fifth Eat With Us Group restaurant in the Tupelo area. “We are excited to have all of our restaurant concepts in Tupelo,” said Bernard Bean, co-owner of Eat With Us. Other restaurants in the area include Sweet Peppers Deli, Sweet Peppers Express, Harveys & Park Heights. The Eat With Us Group started 25 years ago when Myrrl Bean and Harveys Seifert opened the first Harveys in Starkville, Mississippi. Since that time three of Mrs. Bean’s children, John & Bernard Bean and Blair Bean Hughes, have become active in the restaurant industry helping to open 12 different restaurants including the now franchised Sweet Peppers Deli. Blair Hughes restaurant, Park Heights, will be moving from its current address on West Jefferson Street to the opposite end of 10 pm with the bar staying open until 11:30 each night. On Sundays, Fairpark Grill will be open from 11am to 9 pm.
