Sweet Peppers Deli opens in Cullman, Alabama

Columbus, MS -- February 13, 2007

On February 13th, the 10th location of the award winning Sweet Peppers Deli concept opens its doors to the public. This location marks the 2nd location in Alabama for Peppers. David Steele, franchise owner, partnered with the United Way of Cullman to hold an invitation only Opening Party the night of February 12th. All proceeds from the Opening Party will be donated to the Cullman United Way. “We believe in giving back to the communities we operate in and this is just our first step at doing this,” stated Mr. Steele. Charitable giving and community involvement have been something Mr. Steele has practiced throughout his 20 plus years in the restaurant industry in the Mississippi and Tennessee area. To commemorate his philanthropic actions, he was given the distinction of having May 11th named David Steele Day in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Sweet Peppers Deli - Cullman is located at 303A 2nd Avenue North West in the new Arnold Village Shopping Center just South of the Cullman Shopping Center. With its easy access from all directions and designated parking area for take out meals will add a convenience few restaurants in the Cullman area offer. Sweet Peppers Deli menu consists of a wide variety of salads, soups, signature sandwiches, panini (Italian pressed sandwiches), wraps and scrumptious desserts in a unique and beautiful atmosphere including neon signs, glass garage doors , WiFi and patio dining.

The Sweet Peppers Franchise Systems, LLC in Columbus, MS was formed in 1997 by Bernard Bean, John Bean, Myrrl Bean, Robin Fant and Robert Fort. There are now ten locations in Columbus, Tupelo, Starkville, Corinth & Hattiesburg, MS, Memphis, TN, Muscle Shoals & Cullman, AL. Mr. Steele has also signed a development agreement for both Etowah and Jefferson Counties in Alabama.
