SWEET PEPPERS DELI ANNOUNCES SECOND FRANCHISE IN ALABAMA
Cullman, AL -- September 15, 2007
The award winning, Sweet Peppers Deli Franchise Systems, LLC is pleased to announce its newest location in Cullman, AL. David Steele, franchise owner, joins in announcing his future restaurant with the Peppers team. Mr. Steele has over 20 years of restaurant experience including managing two successful Outback Steakhouses in Mississippi, co-authoring restaurant management training materials, and executing live TV cooking shows all over the eastern US.
With an opening date set for early 2007, Mr. Steele and the partners of Sweet Peppers Deli intend to build on the dynamic success the company has experienced. “I look forward to working with a concept I know will be successful in the Cullman, Alabama area. This concept is about providing a wonderful product to the community and also being active members in that community, which is something I have done throughout my restaurant career,” stated David Steele. Mr. Steele has been involved in many charitable organizations in his past. To commemorate his philanthropic actions, he was given the distinction of having May 11th named David Steele Day in Tupelo, Mississippi. Along with purchasing the rights to develop in the Cullman County area, Mr. Steele has also signed a development agreement for both Etowah and Jefferson County, Alabama.
In 1997, Bernard Bean, John Bean, Myrrl Bean, Robin Fant and Robert Fort created the Sweet Peppers Deli concept. There are currently eight Sweet Peppers Deli restaurants located in Columbus, Tupelo, Starkville, and Hattiesburg, MS, Memphis, TN and Muscle Shoals, AL. Sweet Peppers Deli offers a menu of salads, soups, signature sandwiches, panini (Italian pressed sandwiches), wraps and scrumptious desserts in a unique atmosphere including neon signs, glass garage doors, and patio dining. “Our management team is incredibly excited about joining forces with someone with the extent of experience in the restaurant industry that David Steele brings to the table,” stated Bernard Bean, President of Sweet Peppers Franchise Systems, LLC.
