Orange-Almond Torte
2 whole oranges
6 large eggs
3 ½ cups of almonds
2 ½ cups of sugar
1 tbsp of baking powder
- Boil whole oranges for 30-45 minutes or until fork tender.
- In a food processor, grind the almonds and pour into a large mixing bowl.
- Blend the eggs, sugar, and baking powder in the food processor until smooth. Add to the almonds in the large mixing bowl.
- Puree the whole oranges and mix with the rest of the ingredients. Pour into an 8-inch springform pan that has been coated in butter and sugar.
- Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until the center is firm.
